**Job Title**: Technician Assistant

**Job Summary**:
**Primary Duties**
- Ensure a clean and organized warehouse.
- Assist with cleaning and storage of equipment.
- Prepare vehicles and equipment for site visits.
- Ensure accurate travel directions, dispatch review and site travel logs.
- Evaluate each job site and ensure all hazards are remediated or controlled.
- Conduct cleaning and equipment reviews.
- Perform visual and magnetic particle inspections.
- Attend all technician and safety meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills Required**:

- Comfortable working on active and inactive construction sites.
- Ability to take direction.
- Strong customer relation and interpersonal skills.
- Be competent and capable of working alone or in a group.
- Motivated to learn and shows initiative.
- Ability to travel out of town for extended periods.
- Willingness and foresight to follow safety procedures.

**Education & Training**
- CGSB Level II Magnetic Particle Ticket an asset.
- Exposure and experience to perform visual and non-destructive testing inspections an asset.
- Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract are required.

**Working Conditions & Physical Effort**
- This position spends the majority of its time climbing on, under or over equipment, driving in a vehicle to active or inactive construction sites and working with iron filings and handheld equipment.
- This position works outside all year round.
- A safety orientation and site training is required for all field staff.
- Additional site training for customer owned sites may be required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (i.e. generator).
- Any other accommodations required to ensure a comfortable working environment will be provided.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
