Flight Dispatcher

Flightpath is currently seeking a Flight Coordinator at our head office located at the Region of Waterloo Airport CYKF. The primary duty of the Coordinator is to plan and monitor all necessary logistics needed to execute a safe and efficient flight schedule. The Coordinator must develop a strong knowledge of aircraft scheduling, curfews, over-flight exemptions, general declarations and so on. The Flight Coordinator ensures timely and accurate schedule communication to flight crew, handlers, vendors, maintenance technicians and management as needed. Must be flexible with shift work, and able to work weekends and holidays.

Note - Knowledge of the Rockwell Collins Flight Operations System (F.O.S) is as an asset

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Monitor the status of all planned flights and flights in progress from the point of origin to the destination (flight following).
- Ensures all ground handling, deicing, fuel, landing/departure slots, and landing/overfly permits are in order before releasing a flight.
- Responsible for crew logistics arranging/coordinating crew ground transportation and hotel accommodations, as well as commercial airline arrangements.
- Crew confirmations
- Filing customs
- Responsible for tracking passenger logistics; ensuring that passengers’ connecting travel arrangements are monitored.
- Tasks required to ensure that flights are dispatched as per Flightpath SOP, and Transport Canada regulatory requirements.
- Other duties general office duties as assigned.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a demanding environment.
- Experience in the aviation industry an asset
- Dispatching experience an asset
- 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
- Effective verbal and written skills.
- Proven time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in French would be considered an asset
