The AutoCAD Drafter will be responsible for creating 3D and 2D images using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for new product releases and other projects as assigned. They will also work closely in proving support to the Industrial Designers and the Commercial Space Design team.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Working within AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CET Model Creation to create/update accurate furniture models/drawings.
- Creating detailed 2D or isometric drawings and step-by-step instructions for installation guides.
- Creating 2D or 3D line drawings for price books or product cutsheets.
- Creating / Updating catalogue information on 2020 or CET libraries.
- Continuously innovates and or improves processes. Develop and recommend changes to existing methods and systems to increase the accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the Customer Experience department as a whole.
- Maintains detailed and current knowledge of the Tayco’s products and services.
- Enhances the Commercial Space Design & Customer Experience Teams; Works cooperatively with one another to achieve department, production and service targets and daily order targets.
- Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures always. Without limitation, wears Personal Protective Equipment when required, in accordance with Tayco's policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Must have knowledge of computers and related programs such as 3D modeling in Auto CAD, SolidWorks and CET. Must also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate from a post-secondary institution; or two years experience as an architectural technologist or engineering technologist.
- Detail orientated and must possess ability to work under a tight timeline.
- Must possess good organizational skills, have a good attention span, and be able to prioritize workload.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work as a team and communicate with co-workers
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and negotiate to deal with problems in complex and crisis situations.
