Toronto, Canada S & C Electric Company Full time

Reporting to Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounting, the Accounting Specialist will support the accounts payable process.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Enter high volume of invoices with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ensure invoices are matched to the correct purchase order including quantity and price considerations.
- Resolve issues associated with the processing of invoices.
- Check supplier statements and reconcile with our AP records.
- Respond to supplier inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process supplier payment.
- Review and approve employee expense reports through Concur.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 1- 3 years of accounts payable experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Oracle ERP and SAP Concur) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and accounts payable best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

**Work Arrangement**:

- Hybrid (work from office at least 2 days a week)

**Physical Demands**:
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. Involves mainly sitting at desk and performing computer work. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 5kg/11lbs
