Roll Tender

Mostad Printing & Media Inc., a well-established company specializing in the production and distribution of regional and national flyers is currently hiring for the position of Roll Tender on morning and afternoon shift.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Setup and operate Reel Stand/Splicers in order to ensure continuous operation of the web offset printing press.
- Assist with stacking and setup of stacking machines
- Retrieve and store paper rolls based on individual job needs.
- Weigh and manage paper inventory.
- Cleaning and basic maintenance of various equipment as required and instructed
- Reduce waste or press downtime whenever possible.

**Required qualifications and skills**:

- Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a roll tender in a web offset environment.
- Possess strong mechanical ability.
- Capable of performing frequent physical tasks (i.e. bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, working from heights, crawling, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, kneeling, and balancing).
- Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing and walking on the job.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds.
- Prolonged exposure to noise levels in excess of 90 DBA (use of hearing protection is a requirement).
- Successful completion of all company sponsored training
- Forklift certified w/clamp truck experience.

**Hours and Remuneration**
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 24 to 40 hours per week - depending on time of year.
