- **Job Duties**:_
- Performs routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures to buildings, equipment and utility systems, to maintain the overall functionality of the facility as guided by the industrial mechanic, maintenance technician and Maintenance Planning Supervisor
- Report issues found while tasks or preventative maintenance tasks to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor
- Inspect and repair defective equipment
- Perform light mechanical repairs
- Install and replace various components
- Inspect and test equipment regularly as directed by the industrial mechanic, maintenance technician and Maintenance Planning Supervisor
- Creation, participation and/or development of improvements to eliminate waste, which may include lean manufacturing and 5S principals
- Timely execution of projects and work from the task list as assigned
- To follow-up on all work orders to ensure completion and that the repair has met our quality standards
- To resolve machine problems with effective troubleshooting using internal and external support systems
- Documentation of all work performed using maintenance tracking systems and/or technical reports
- Research and procurement of new materials, parts and supplies to improve equipment
- **Required Knowledge/Qualifications**_**:

- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Demonstrated experience in a mechanical role previously
- Minimum one (1) year of mechanical experience required
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools and devices
- Support operations department as a service provider
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- **Working Conditions**:_
- Working in an agricultural chemical plant/production environment
- May be required to work outside during repairs and for preventative maintenance requirements
- Long periods of standing and walking
- Ability to work off hours and assist with call ins if required by the maintenance supervisor or the industrial mechanic
