CBC Toronto is looking for an energetic and enterprising Associate AP / Technician to play a vital supporting team role on our early morning program “Ontario Morning”.

**Qualifications**:
- University degree and three years of practical and relevant experience or graduation from a Community College and three years of practical and relevant experience.- Must possess a strong background in live and live to tape radio broadcast engineering.- Must possess strong experience with live audio mixing on a 25+ channel audio console. Studer On Air 3000 / 1500 console or (digital) equivalent experience is essential.- Excellent technical aptitude, including the ability to troubleshoot radio & audio transmission- Prepared to make quick decisions in a live radio environment as needed- Strong contributor of ideas, stories and treatments for radio and digital environments.- Solid knowledge / understanding of diverse communities across Ontario.

Key Roles and Responsibilities- Participate in the production, direction and airing of this program or program segments by executing technical as well as programming functions.- Engineer and direct the program, live or recorded, in the studio or remote location- Ensure that equipment, facilities, program sources and personnel are available to meet operational and program requirements.- Chase, produce and edit on air program elements,- Present on air as needed for the role.- Assist in developing program content, including music selection, researching and/or editing.- Must possess the ability and experience to write and edit scripts for a Radio Current Affairs Program- Organize the participation of interviewees, creative staff and other collaborators, develop context, introduction and questions, carry out or commission any necessary research and brief facilitators- Takes initiative, with the ability to be productive in individual and team settings.- You are a trouble-shooter who can solve problems - both technical and editorial - when you encounter them.- Strong sense of organization; ability to perform a number of functions efficiently and quickly.- Availability to work flexible hours, work overtime and travel as needed

Essentially, someone who engineers the show for 3 hours, and then participates in additional necessary aspects of the production.
