Job Summary:
We are seeking a Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. As a sewing machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining an industrial sewing machine at our facility. This is a part-time seasonal position with potential opportunity to stay on after November 2024.

**Duties**:

- Operate and monitor sewing machines to ensure they are running efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines to keep them in good working condition
- Repair torn out horse blankets / patches/ adding missing hardware etc. -clean work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- take down clean and dry blankets from hanging and prepare them for repair

- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
- Perform quality control checks on products
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Clean and maintain work areas

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience sewing
- must work well independently
- Ability to read and interpret repair sheet notes
- ability to write and comprehend English written instructions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- work on deadlines.
- Physical stamina to sit for longer periods of time

**Skills**:

- Basic sewing machine function. You do not have to have had to work on an industrial sewing machine before but must know how to sew on a domestic machine.
- Fabrication: Experience with fabricating materials using various tools and equipment, such seam rippers/scissors etc.

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
