**WHO YOU ARE**
You are a results driven individual with a technical mindset - maybe you have a construction or engineering background, or maybe you are just mechanically inclined Ideally, you know your way around a blueprint and drafting software, such as AutoCAD.
Along with your technical skills, you are a strong communicator who takes pride in delivering customer service and breaking down technical concepts to a variety of different parties.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
As a Playground Technician, you will focus on providing outstanding technical and design support for MAKR, for Parkworks, and for Waterplay projects. The role ensures the success of a project by playing the role of technical consultant during the design and quoting process and provide technical customer service for the internal and external teams. This includes but not limited to verifying design criteria, design compliance, CAD drafting, working with third party engineers for approvals, RFP reviews, scope and installation requirements review, all to ensure a smooth project delivery and installation.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Technical Review of Project Scope, Drawings and Quotes
- Work directly with the Viz, RSM, CSR and PMI teams to ensure functionality of designs
- Work with third party engineers on approvals/reviews for snow/wind loads, structural footings, engineered stamps, and code compliance
- Create standard installation detail drawings, such as housekeeping slabs, footing, curbing, surfacing, site excavation, and for construction drawings
- Create standalone MWB and draw mechanical room layouts for interactive and LA files/designs
- Creating/Maintain AutoCAD and REVIT drawings and feature blocks
- Attend site meeting to review scope requirements and design considerations
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post-secondary diploma (Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred)
- AutoCAD
- Customer Service Experience
**OTHER INFORMATION**:
- This is an onsite position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.
