**People define Conair and we currently have an opening for a full-time permanent Receiving Inspector position.**
**Reporting to the Stores Crew Lead, the Receiving Inspector ensures all purchased parts and assemblies conform to design and quality requirements and works to continuously improve the overall receiving inspection process at Conair. Inspection, reporting and auditing all form part of the routine tasks of this position.**
**In this role your duties will include the following**:
- ** Visual and functional testing of incoming and inventoried parts and products using appropriate measuring equipment and practices;**:
- ** Development and improvement of receiving inspection processes to ensure detection of non-conforming materials for Conair;**:
- ** Inspection of purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials to ensure they conform to specifications;**:
- ** Shows a visible commitment to safety policies and actively participates in updating policies and procedures to achieve the safest possible working environment;**:
- **Promote quality and continuous improvement within Conair and with suppliers;**:
- ** Active participation in the implementation and ongoing review of the Quality Management System (QMS);**:
- ** Work within Conair's Target Zero program to ensure incoming product meets health and safety requirements through transmission of knowledge to end-users;**:
- **Conair receives and accepts quality products in a timely manner;**:
- ** Inspection process improvements are being developed and implemented;**:
- ** Supplier quality issues are being corrected;**:
- ** Inspection of purchased parts, assemblies, accessories and materials to ensure they conform to specifications;**:
- ** Work with engineering department to identify, specify and select necessary inspection equipment;**:
- ** Ensure inspection procedures and safety protocols are effectively in place;**:
- ** Maintain the Conair incoming material inspection procedures, instructions and forms to ensure product quality;**:
- **Promote quality and performance improvement within Conair and with suppliers;**
- ** Document inspection and disposition results by completing reports and logs;**:
- ** Audit inspection processes at suppliers;**:
- ** Other related duties as required.**
**We are looking for someone with**:
- ** Valid driver's license;**:
- ** Ability to obtain and maintain Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP);**:
- ** Valid Passport and ability to travel within North America.**
**Training/Education**:
- ** Previous inspection experience, preferably in the aerospace industry;**:
- ** Practical knowledge of inspection techniques;**:
- **Diverse knowledge of aircraft related inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation;**:
- ** Familiar with ASTM standards, with experience in reviewing Certified Materials Test Reports for acceptance of material produced;**:
- ** Experience in aircraft quality standards - AS9100 or ISO9000 is desirable;**:
- ** Solid computer skills/experience including word processing, spreadsheet and database software.**:
- ** Experience working within an ERP system (Ramco, SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.**
