**Annual Salary: $96,146 - $120,182**
Reporting to the Director - Environmental & Food Services, the Manager - Environmental Services is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department for all sites of St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG). This includes responsibility for the oversight of Housekeeping and Laundry teams. The Manager uses a team approach to plan for and manage fiscal and Human Resource methods to deliver services.
**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:
- Degree or diploma in a related field
- Minimum five years' experience working in a leadership capacity preferably in the health sector
- Successful completion of the Environmental Services Leadership Program or commitment to obtain within one year of hire
**Skills/Abilities**:
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with private and public officials, co-workers, outside suppliers, contractors, building inspectors, etc.
- Ability to identify, understand, and meet/exceed the requirements of internal and external customers
- Ability to think and act strategically in a healthcare sector environment, including the ability to conceptualize and implement change strategies
- Excellent project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to improve effectiveness and efficiency through the management and utilization of human, financial, and physical resources
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to direct, motivate, evaluate, and recognize staff; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Ability to engage others to build consensus and create solutions
- Ability to think creatively in order to develop new solutions with a goal of creating operational and organizational efficiencies
- Proven conflict management abilities and mediation skills
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
- Competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
Ability to travel to various work locations as required and provide own transportation
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
