**High School Administrator and Guidance Counselor**

**Responsibilities**:
Guidance Counseling:

- Provide comprehensive guidance counseling to students, including academic planning, course selection, and post-secondary pathways
- Support students in personal and social development, offering assistance with emotional challenges and career exploration
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify students in need of academic or emotional support
- Offer guidance to families regarding academic programs, student well-being, and developmental milestones

Administration:

- Oversee school operations, including scheduling, attendance, and the maintenance of student records
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks and ensure adherence to school policies and procedures
- Serve as a liaison between teachers, parents, and students to resolve issues and foster a supportive community
- Coordinate and lead school events, extracurricular activities, and student support programs
- Support teaching staff, including training and performance evaluations
- Monitor and improve instructional practices to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning
- Ensure alignment with Ministry of Education guidelines, reporting requirements, and curriculum standards
- Collaborate with the Ministry on school inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and academic excellence

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Previous experience in a high school guidance or administrative role
- Proven leadership experience in an academic setting
- Strong understanding of academic requirements, post-secondary pathways, and Ministry of Education regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to foster strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and Ministry personnel
