**The Role**

We are looking for a High School student that is interested in summer work. The General Labourer is a team member of the Heavy Equipment shop and as such will be required to perform a variety of tasks involving physical labour. The Labourer will be responsible for the efficient execution of duties according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies. They are responsible for a variety of general duties and assisting skilled trades people.

**Job Duties**
- Operate Spray washer
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair equipment, and tools.
- Mark, record and report defects
- Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
- Various other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- working on your High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Work Conditions
- Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs. for 50 feet is required.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.)
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object.
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud.
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
- Excellent stamina is required.
- Hazards associated with the industry.
