Students are placed at Oak Hill Ranch by Alberta Child and Family Services. In cooperation with the ranch, Sturgeon Public School Division and Alberta Education, the school's primary objective is to provide a quality education program according to the emotional, social and academic needs of each student.

**FTE**: 1.0 FTE; 32.5 hrs/week; Monday to Friday; Full-Time Permanent

**Initial Assignment**: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work with Elementary and Junior High students supporting behaviours and special needs.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate

Formal training in areas such as autism or behaviours

Basic or Intermediate First Aid along with Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training

Knowledge and experience working with students with varying abilities, academic levels, and behaviors, knowledge of students with Autism, fetal alcohol effects (FAE)

**Hourly Rate**: $19.79 - $24.54 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
