**We are seeking a leader with strong ties to the Stz’uminus community who will champion the advancement of our hul’q’umi’num’ language through proactive visionary planning, open communication and dedication to respectful relationships.**

THE OPPORTUNITY
- Champion the advancement of hul’q’umi’num’ learning at all levels throughout SES & the wider Stz’uminus Community
- Lead our hul’q’umi’num’ language vision through community-driven, sustainable planning and strategic development, building on our guiding principles and values
- Supervise, develop and guide our staff, including those directly engaged with revitalization of hul’q’umi’num’
- Forecast and manage the resources required to successfully realize initiatives
- Facilitate program and resource development centred in Stz'uminus teachings, hul'q'umi’num language and Coast Salish ways of knowing.
- Establish and encourage partnerships amongst hul’q’umi’num’ speaking Nations and local organizations including school districts and post-secondary education institutions
- Facilitate growth of hul’q’umi’num’ language by identifying opportunities to support students & community members as they expand their language and culture learning through a variety of methods & modalities

- You are a Lifelong Learner who leads through relationship and respect
- You have demonstrated engagement in learning hul’q’umi’num’ along with strong ties to Stz’uminus teachings and our Stz’uminusqun dialect
- You have proven success in forming and developing empowered, brave teams who think beyond the conventional standards
- You are dedicated to incorporating our culture, hul’q’umi’num language & Stz’uminus ways of knowing in your professional practices and your personal learning journey
- You believe passionately that indigenous languages are a fundamental and valued element of society
- You understand the urgency to preserve indigenous languages, supported by your historical and contemporary understanding of the TRC calls to action
- You respect and value what each member of a Community contributes to our growth
- You are passionate about supporting learners in personalized & culturally enriched ways

**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year
