**Summer Internship - Business Model Research Assistant**:
**Company Overview**:
Ontario One Call acts as the communications link between buried infrastructure owners (our members) and individuals who are planning to dig in the province of Ontario. In 2012, the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act was passed, which stipulates that by law, anyone in the province of Ontario must contact Ontario One Call before they dig. In addition to our contact centre, we are also responsible for public education, industry outreach, and compliance.

As a service oriented regulator, Ontario One Call is focused on guiding construction, infrastructure and excavation industries towards creating efficiencies and improvements across the province. Ontario One Call is a not-for-profit governed by a Board of Directors representative of the underground infrastructure and excavation industries.

**Opportunity**:
**Business Model Research Assistant**:
Position in the Finance Department at Ontario One Call, reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer or their designate. We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical individual who will be involved in performing business model research of similar One Call organization in Canada and the US.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Understand Ontario One Call’s current revenue model.
- Compile list of similar One Call organizations in Canada and US and key contacts managing the revenue model.
- Reach out and interview each organization to determine business model, sustainable revenue streams, business successes and evolution of the organization.
- Maintain log of interview outcomes, minutes and prepare case study analysis.
- Summarize all research in a PowerPoint presentation delivered to management team with recommendations and workflow process.
- Any other associated projects
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous research, customer service experience and\or administration experience
- Comprehensive understanding of business models and organization flow
- Comfortable with conducting participant interviews
- Questionnaire design and development and testing
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or finance field of study
