We have an exciting role within our Transport Team for an organized and motivated professional at our Head Office location in Schomberg, ON.
**Title/Position**: Freight Dispatcher
**Job Purpose**
**Responsibilities**:
- Capture estimated and budget freight costs for runs completed the prior day. Some automation.
- Populating freight reports for key stakeholders. Daily performance reports.
- Carrier and Driver documentation capture
- Receive carrier and driver documentation by electronic means
- Review, validate, record and process documentation
- Process BTN driver reports (DDR) for payroll entry
- Review, validate, record and process on all carrier and vendor invoices based on pre-approved costs and budgets
- Rental and lease equipment
- Carriers and direct freight costs
- Fuel bill review and GL coding (Receipts and statement reconciliation)
- IFTA reporting via rental provider portals (e.g. RyderGyde app)
- Review, validate and audit GL accounts and budgeted load costs on dispatch pages
- If there are discrepancies in noted costs/budget, these will be brought to the attention of the Transport manager responsible.
- Archiving all documentation electronically as prescribed. Public Drive.
- Submitting approved carrier and vendor invoices to Accounts Payable.
- Notify National Distribution Manager when problems arise, or deadlines are not met.
**Requirements**:
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Work, Outlook)
- Fast decision-making skills to resolve time-critical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Thorough understanding of both BTN policies as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of highway trucking and the associated rules and regulations.
- Understanding French is an asset but not required.

- Work under pressure and in stressful situations
- During peak season (April/May and November) staff are expected to work longer hours as well as weekend work.
**Education & Experience**
- High school Diploma Required
- Post Secondary preferred
- Minimum 2 year of related experience in accounting or finance roles
- Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis preferred
