Nightclub Security

We are seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Evolve Nightclub Security personnel. As a Nightclub Security professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patrons, staff, and property within our nightclub establishment. Your primary goal will be to create a secure and enjoyable environment for all guests, while strictly adhering to the nightclub's policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
Maintain a Visible and Alert Presence: Act as a visible deterrent to prevent disruptive behavior and enforce club policies and rules.

Crowd Management: Manage large crowds efficiently, ensuring orderly entry and exit, and maintaining appropriate guest capacity.

ID Verification: Verify the identification of guests to ensure legal age requirements are met and prevent entry of unauthorized individuals.

Baggage and Personal Item Inspection: Conduct thorough and respectful inspections of guests' belongings to ensure compliance with club policies and safety regulations.

Pat-Downs and Metal Detection: Perform necessary physical searches using professional techniques and equipment to prevent the entry of weapons or illegal substances.

Incident Response: Swiftly respond to and address any incidents, disturbances, or altercations, employing conflict resolution techniques as necessary.

Safety Protocols: Monitor and enforce fire safety regulations, emergency evacuation plans, and any other relevant safety protocols.

Surveillance: Utilize CCTV systems and surveillance equipment effectively to monitor activities within the establishment and identify potential security risks.

Collaborate with Team: Coordinate and communicate effectively with fellow security personnel, bartenders, waitstaff, and management to ensure a smooth operation.

**Requirements**:
Experience and Training: Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred. Training in conflict resolution, first aid, and emergency response is highly beneficial.

Physical Fitness: Possess good physical health and stamina to handle extended periods of standing, walking, and responding to high-energy situations.

Alertness and Situational Awareness: Demonstrated ability to remain vigilant, attentive, and focused on the environment, identifying potential threats or disturbances promptly.

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals and diffuse conflicts professionally.

Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, ensuring a positive experience for guests.

Legal Compliance: Familiarity with local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to nightclub security operations.

Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as nightclubs typically operate during late hours.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-20 per week

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Every Weekend
- Weekends as needed

- Nanaimo, BC V9R 5E9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (preferred)
