Reporting to the Plant Director, maintain a productive, cost efficient, high quality product cooler operation.

**_What’s involved in this role _**
- Responsible for employee relations including work direction of employees, hiring, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, disciplinary action, and compensation recommendations.
- Direct implementation of departmental objectives, goals and policies.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Work with QA to manage cooler activities necessary for the effective implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality plans and pre-requisite programs.
- Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labor costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.
- Responsible for scheduling cooler personnel.
- Responsible for working with employees to assure a safe work environment.
- Responsible for quality and accuracy of work performed by team members.
- Responsible for working with other departments to assure good communication exists and their needs and concerns are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicates effectively with transportation, customer service and other employees to assure timely work flow resulting in positive customer experience.
- Responsible for training, maintenance and scheduled repair of material handling equipment.

**_What you need to join our team _**

Minimum 5 years
- ’ experience in distribution or shipping and receiving environment.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment;
- Strong computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word & Excel);
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.'‹
