Reporting to the Assistant Director, Cloud Enablement & Network Security, you will join a collaborative and diverse team tasked with ensuring operational stability and performance with our Microsoft Active Directory and Cloud Services (Azure AD, Azure AD content, and ADFS technologies, etc..).

**What you will do**

As a Systems Admin you will help provide support for the Bank’s cloud delivery, and more specifically for this role, support the Bank’s enterprise level Microsoft Active Directory and related services, ensuring the stability and performance of the service. This includes a variety of the Active Directory and cloud environments (Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure AD content, and ADFS technologies); along with monitoring, alerting, availability, schema management, and recovery.

More specifically, you will be tasked with:

- Investigation and diagnosis of incidents and problems relating to On Prem and Azure Active Directory Create and maintain GPOs, OUs, DFS, LDAP, Security Policies and directory replication
- Setup, configuration, and ongoing monitoring of Active Directory infrastructure (i.e. AD replication/DNS troubleshooting, event log monitoring, OU maintenance, demotion & removal of domain controllers/DNS/DHCP of servers, promote DCs, etc.)
- Supporting the implementation of business continuity plans, recovery strategies and hardening strategies for Active Directory Domain Services environments
- Implementing controls to ensure appropriate security, performance, scalability and monitoring guidelines are achieved for the Active Directory instances
- Integrating solutions with an Active Directory Domain Services environment, including scenarios such as Exchange, Azure AD, Office 365 Hosted solutions, Active Directory Certificate Services, Active Directory Federation Services, Azure AD Connect and smartcard authentication scenarios
- Implement common preventive maintenance practices for hardware and software
- Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented and monitor effects of the modifications
- Help Identify and manage risks within the Active Directory platform
- Provide input in the creation and ongoing maintenance of a knowledge base on technical issues including supporting standards, guidelines and documentation
- Provide on-the-job training to colleagues and clients
- Work directly on technical matters with third level support and vendors
- Help liaise with mobile service providers and other service providers and vendors
- Provide On-Call support as required

**Note** - The nature of this work will require additional paid on-call as well as paid overtime. The Bank offers flexible work hours to accommodate.

**What you need to succeed**

We are looking for team members who are curious and critical thinkers, who enjoy digging deeper into problems and always questioning the “why.” You also have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection.

In addition, you have:

- 2+ years of proven experience as a Systems Admin (or similar role) working with Active Directory and MS Azure technologies
- Scripting abilities including hands on experience with PowerShell, Python, and/or other relevant scripting tools
- Experience creating automation scripts and deploying orchestration and automation processes and products
- Working knowledge of Identity Management, Single Sign On and Feder
