WHO YOU ARE
You are a down to earth, friendly, and welcoming maintenance professional. You are gracious, accommodating, respectful and eager to help our guests and other team members provide an exceptional customer experience that our Vettä guests will rave about.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes and removes debris as assigned.
- Monitors all areas of spa grounds and removes weeds.
- Ensures that watering is done when necessary.
- Tends to needs of plants, shrubs, and trees on spa grounds.
- Refreshes mulch and "deadheads" flowers as needed.
- Mulch, edge and weed gardens.
- Prune and trim trees and bushes.
- Remove dead stumps as required.
- Deals with pest problems that could damage plants.
- Keeps gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter.
- Removes trash in designated areas.
- Tends to kitchen garden, removes weeds, and updates manager about crops ready for harvest.
- Must comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations, according to Vetta’s policies and the occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL.
- Previous landscaping or equivalent experience required.
- General knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes (understands the difference between a plant and a weed).
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require bending, kneeling, twisting, standing for long periods of time.
- The ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.
- The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time (walking and standing).
- Must not have any known outdoor allergies.
- CSA Approved safety shoes required. Other PPE will be made available.
- Must wear all PPE that is required for the job (long sleeve shirt, pants, hat, goggles, gloves, safety shoes, earmuffs (if required).
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
- Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them.
- Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers.
- Knowledge of state health and safety regulations for landscaping.
- A love of the outdoors and plant life.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
- Excellent time management skills.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment,
- Comfortable walking and standing over an 8-hour period of time.
- Work in an environment with mínimal temperature control,
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- A tranquil hydrotherapy paradise located in beautiful Horseshoe Valley surrounded by a mature forest.
