Digital General Assignment Reporter

- The proudly independent, digital-only Village Media network is searching for a talented and motivated General Assignment Reporter to fill a full-time position in Flamborough, Ontario for our rapidly growing local news and information websites.
Has demonstrated experience writing breaking news and feature stories on a wide range of community issues, including crime and justice, politics, education, business, sports and health
- Reports quickly, clearly and accurately and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Isn’t afraid to ask tough questions when required

**Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in journalism, or related experience
- Superior language, writing and editing skills, with a thorough knowledge of CP (Canadian Press) Style
- Strong photography and video skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
- Familiarity with Flamborough, including Waterdown and the surrounding communities will be considered a strong asset
