Blossom Commissionaire

**College Park Il Retirement Residence** is hiring a **Blossom Commissionaire**. In this unique role:

- The **Blossom Commissionaire** will monitor the coming and going of residents, staff and visitors to College Park Retirement Residence.
- Will ensure all exits are secure and will be present at the main entrance at all times unless otherwise replaced for breaks
- Will summon assistance from another manager when having difficulty using strategies with an exit seeking resident
- Will ensure all visitors, staff and residents sign in and out of the residence to ensure the whereabouts of the residents residing at College Park.
- Will assist visitors with inquiries
- Participate in regular training sessions
- Take initiative and use good judgment in emergency situations
- Meet and assist fire department or emergency vehicles
- Be familiar with the emergency plan for the Residence
- Monitor video surveillance for any unusual activity at any exit/entrance
- Will respond immediately to alarms indicating that an entrance/exit has been unarmed or opened while armed
- Call code yellow if exit seeking resident leaves the residence and organize the search

**Requirements**:

- Previous Commissionaire experience preferred
- Previous experience working in senior care living an asset
- Able to work some weekends.
- Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine.

- Dementia care: 1 year (preferred)
