**Position Responsibilities**
- The School of Trades and Technology is looking for a Sessional Steamfitter/Pipefitter Instructor starting on August 13, 2024 to teach and develop curriculum in the **Steamfitter/Pipefitter** Apprenticeship program.
- Job duties will include:
- Maintain, develop and instruct the theory and shop components of the Alberta Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship program
- Participate in school and program committees
- Program promotion and student recruitment
- Red Deer Polytechnic’s School Trades and Technology is the third largest Skilled Trades Apprenticeship training provider in Alberta, offering training in **17 Apprenticeship trades** and two **Engineering Technology Diplomas**. **Required Qualifications**
- Alberta Journeyperson Certificate in Steamfitter-Pipefitter
- Inter-provincial Red Seal Certificate
- Minimum 5 years post-Journeyperson work experience
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others

**Preferred Qualifications**- Experience teaching post-secondary learners through both in-person and online formats
- Journeyperson certification in one or more related trades.
