Sawyer for Sawmill

Gap Creek Wood Products is a Sawmill in the Sundre, AB area - looking for a new team member to fill a Log Sawyer position.

Previous sawmill experience would be an asset

Examine logs and rough lumber to decide best lumber cuts

Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts are made according to specifications

Set up and adjust saw equipment

Inspect and examine equipment on a regular basis and perform preventative maintenance

Have good communication skills with team members

Self starter

Strong attention to details with exceptional problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work under a variety of environmental factors

Attention to safety procedures and protocols

Wage is negotiable depending on experience and aptitude

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
