**Location**

**Position Overview**
- Fine Art Mediums including Painting, Pastel and other
- Cultural Enrichment facilitation and Continual Learning Workshops
- Personal Trainers with specialization in mobility
- Wellness and Fitness Instructors with SFIC or equivalent
- Creative Writing
- Sport program conveners
- Sport Instructors - sport basics (basketball, volleyball, soccer, pickleball)

Staff are supported by the Recreation Programmer and report to the Recreation Coordinator. Positions and schedules may vary based on program registrations and current public health guidelines.

Instructors with multiple skill sets are able to teach multiple programs. Instructor contracts and time commitments are decided in consultation with staff and contracts are created accordingly.

**Responsibilities**

Program staff will be responsible for:

- Planning and implementing creative and inclusive programs to meet the needs, interests and abilities of all program participants.
- Submitting Program Plans for approval prior to each session.
- Ensuring safety of program, wellbeing of all participants, creating social learning environments, and adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Maintaining required certifications, completing all required trainings, following direction from supervisors, and providing recommendations regarding customer feedback, lesson modification, and activity enhancements.
- During course of instruction provide participants with modifications which consider functional needs and adapt teaching styles to assist participants with learning differences.
- Complete required administrative work as required

**Requirements**:
Standard First Aid with CPR-C is preferred and dependent on program requirements.

Leadership skills and experience working with Adults 19 years of age and older, and Adults 55 years of age and older are requirements of this position.

All staff must complete mandatory training prior to the start of program, training is offered through a combination of online and in-person learning.
