NAC is currently seeking a Project Coordinator Co-op student (8 month or longer) for our Water Supply Plant project in Newcastle, ON. Students enrolled in a registered co-op program, Construction Management or Civil Engineering, are encouraged to apply. Housing may be provided for qualified individuals.- Location:

- 5 Lakebreeze Drive, Newcastle, ON**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide project coordination support to the project team.

**Duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Effectively interact and work with other key NAC jobsite personnel in a team environment
- Become knowledgeable with NAC Safety Policies and Procedures through participation on site and the HSE Manual
- Planning and scheduling
- Contract drawings and specification interpretation
- Document control
- Coordinate the contractor’s review of shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Liaise with design firms to assist in the coordination of constructability, questions (RFI process) and the coordination of additional work
- Assist with project cost budgets and maintain programs to meet projected forecasts
- Procurement of construction materials, equipment and tools in concurrence with head office support departments

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in a registered co-op program (Construction Management or Civil Engineering program preferred)
- Some previous construction experience is an asset
- Eagerness and desire to be part of the NAC team and develop your skills and experience in the construction industry
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
- The ability to work with minimum supervision
- The ability to travel with NAC within Canada
- The ability to work overtime, as required
