**Location of Employment**: 122 Archibald St, Yellowknife, NT X1A 3X8. All Northwest Territories and possibly Nunavut.

**Number of Positions**: 3

**Type of Employment**: Seasonal between June to October 2023 and for 2024 Season

**Wages**: Base wage $45.60 hourly or $380 daily rate (regardless of hours worked) + Flight Operations Pay Scale based on class of helicopter (between $100 and $137 per hour) on all revenue generating flights. On revenue generating flights paid flight pay for about 350 flight hours. Subject to 52-week averaging schedule per Canada Labour Code Averaging Program.

**Benefits**: Crew housing in Yellowknife when not working. Meal per diems on days of work.

**Education**: Vocational diploma as a commercial helicopter pilot.

**Duties and Responsibilities**: Attend 2023 flight training and fly helicopters to provide air transportation passenger and cargo services to deliver essential goods and services to Canada's north. Support mining and exploration, search and rescue operations, forest firefighting and environmental and other services. Daily activities include: Conduct pre-flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met. Coordinate flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control, inform crew members of flight and test procedures and direct activities of aircraft crew during flights. Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions and other information. Conduct in-flight tests and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and systems during flights, maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and respond to and report in-flight emergencies and malfunctions. Prepare flight evaluation reports. May participate in search and rescue operations, forest firefighting, aerial surveying, crop dusting and other services.

**Pilot Mandatory Qualifications**:
Valid Commercial Pilot Licence - Helicopter CPL (H).
Minimum 2,000 hours PIC preferred.
Type Endorsements on AS350 and or Bell 407 series required.
Proficiency in precision longline skills and drill moving experience required.
Passenger transport experience.
Working experience in the Arctic, a definite asset.
Strong work ethic and able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Well-honed organizational and superior customer service skills.
Valid Transport Canada commercial pilot license.
Proof of up-to-date vaccination for covid-19.
