**Responsibilities**:

- This position will teach at the introductory/intermediate level in compositing.
- Course preparation and updating materials to the latest version of
- Oversee development and curriculum including competencies from each class.
- Adapt to an existing curriculum to help deliver high-quality lesson plans and maintain a unified curriculum.

**Service Responsibilities (30-40%)**:

- Provide services to the school and help lead program development.
- Onboarding instructors and ensuring that they are set up for success
- Instructor hiring and scheduling, student management and addressing concerns or issues in the program.
- Leading all aspects of the Compositing Program
- Ensuring film students follow correct guidelines and protocol.
- Advising and advancing of our project-based educational model
- Participate in student advising and mentoring.
- Participate in and organize program meetings.
- Participate in school activities as it relates to the program.
- Keep on top of industry trends.
- Participate in professional training and development.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in Compositing from an accredited institution
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to foster a collaborative and cooperative environment among students and faculty
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing technologies & educational practices
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be flexible and work across different areas of production.
- Deep interest in cultivating exceptional artists
- Ability to be aware of and manage individual student needs
- Available to teach on-site: Downtown Vancouver, BC, Canada.
