**Summary**

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources and working closely with the Divisional General Managers, The Human Resources Director will be responsible human resources management at all three Action Scaffold divisions: Laval, Quebec City and Toronto, playing a key role in the company's development and growth. He develops and implements human resources planning programs and procedures in the areas of occupational health and safety, training, recruitment, organizational development, retention, total compensation and performance management.

**Key Requirements and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in industrial relations or administration with a specialization in human resources.
- Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés, (CHRP or CIRC).
- Be fluently bilingual in spoken and written French and English.
- Experience in a manufacturing or service sector environment.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in managing human resources personnel on several sites.
- CCQ knowledge (asset).
- Knowledge of labour laws and regulations in Quebec and Ontario.
- Energetic, ambitious, entrepreneurial style and enjoy challenges.
- Adaptability, ability to adapt your communication to your interlocutors.
- Sense of influence, persuasion, leadership.
- Recognized for being close to operations.
- Available for occasional travel between divisions.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**HR strategy development**
- Develop strategies for various human resources policies.
- Develop talent and succession planning strategy.
- Participates in budget analysis.

**Occupational Health and Safety**
- Directs and supports, with a coaching approach, the managers of each division in matters of occupational health and safety.
- Ensure proper management of workplace disabilities and financial files (retrospective plan).
- Collaborate with divisional managers and the OHS consulting team to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations.
- Represent the company with regulatory authorities and external partners.

**Training and organizational development**
- Identify and coordinate internal and external training needs with department managers.
- Develop talent and succession planning strategies.

**Labour Relations**
- Lead and support, with a coaching approach, the managers of each division at the HR and labour relations level.
- Act as a mediator in labour disputes and grievances.
- Assist management in various verbal and written communications with employees and relevant organizations in accordance with the various legislation in force.

**Recruitment and selection of personnel**
- Participate in the recruitment, selection and hiring of personnal.
- Implement best practices for onboarding new employees.
- Work on employee attraction and retention.

**Pay Equity, Compensation and Benefits**
- Manage total compensation programs, including salaries, bonuses, and increases.
- In collaboration with the payroll department, coordinate employee benefits, such as health insurance, pension plans and other employee benefits.
- Analyze salary data to identify and correct salary disparities.

**Performance evaluation**
- Implement performance appraisal program.
- Make assessment tools available to managers and train them on their use.

**Team management and participation in committees**
- Manage a multidisciplinary HR team.
- Participate in management committees

**Human Resources Team**

The team is made up of seven members working across our three sites, who work closely together. Communication and mutual support are the key to our success. Everyone has their own specialty, whether it’s occupational health and safety, recruitment, administration or training.
