We are seeking an experienced and skilled Bartender to join our team at Birdog Bar. As a Bartender in our busy cocktail bar, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional drink experiences for our customers. This position requires a strong knowledge of mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. The Bartender will work closely with the bar staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations and deliver memorable cocktails to our patrons.

**Responsibilities**:
Mixology: Prepare and craft a wide variety of cocktails, utilizing extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, ingredients, and techniques.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive and personalized experience.

Speed and Efficiency: Skillfully handle a high volume of drink orders, multitasking and prioritizing to deliver drinks promptly while maintaining quality.

Drink Presentation: Pay attention to detail in drink presentation, garnishing, and glassware selection to create visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing cocktails.

Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the bar's drink menu, including signature cocktails, seasonal offerings, and any featured specials, and effectively communicate this information to customers.

Bar Setup and Maintenance: Ensure the bar is properly stocked with necessary ingredients, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift. Perform regular bar cleaning and organization tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Cash Handling: Process customer payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and operating the POS system with precision.

Collaboration: Work closely with the bar staff, servers, and kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination of drink orders, timely service, and overall operational efficiency.

Upselling and Promotion: Proactively suggest additional beverages, promotions, and special offers to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.

Knowledge Expansion: Continuously expand your knowledge of mixology trends, new ingredients, and techniques through research, training, and attending industry events.

**Requirements**:
Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of bartending experience in a high-volume cocktail bar or similar fast-paced environment.

Mixology Knowledge: Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, including their ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.

Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service, engage with guests, and create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

Speed and Efficiency: Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality in drink preparation.

Adaptability and Composure: Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, handling challenging situations and maintaining professionalism during busy periods.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and management effectively.

Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support the bar and restaurant team, working together to achieve common goals.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (such as kegs or cases of liquor), and perform repetitive motions.

Availability: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the bar's operational needs.

Bartending Certification: Possession of a bartending certification or relevant training is preferred, but not mandatory.

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- serving: 1 year (preferred)
- Bartending: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
