**The Opportunity**:
2-3 month work term: June - August 2024

**How You Will Contribute**:
This role is within the Analog ASIC test team. Our team is responsible for development of characterization and production test solutions for our RF and DSP based ASIC’s into Ciena’s products. As a member of this team, you will help create Verilog models of the product circuit blocks that will be used to represent the circuits for validation of the test algorithms and code.
- Learn how to code in Verilog (with assistance / mentorship of Ciena staff)
- Modify existing Verilog code for circuits that have been modified and test the resulting modified models generated
- (time permitting) create new Verilog code to model operation of circuit blocks where there is no existing code

**The Must Haves**:

- Working towards completion of Grade 12
- Foundational knowledge of computer programming is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with python or matlab is preferred.
