Maintenance Coordinator

This position will support all ongoing maintenance work and capital projects at both sites, financially track projects, and coordinate contractors as needed.
**WHERE YOU’LL WORK**:
This role will be based at the Univar Solutions Abbotsford BC site and have responsibilities covering both the Abbotsford and North Vancouver Distribution Centre Terminal, with travel to the NVDC site 1-2 days per week / 4-6 times per month as required. You will report to the Site Operations Manager in Abbotsford and work closely with the Terminal Manager and Operations team in North Vancouver.
**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
- The role will require working closely with operations at both sites to maintain and update the existing maintenance database system to ensure ongoing preventative maintenance reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support site capital projects as needed
- Developing appropriate RFQ’s for bids and larger jobs will be required with input/direction from site Operations Management
- Evaluating vendors/suppliers, seeking competitive bids, ensuring acceptable & complete estimates/quotations are delivered, and ensuring work/projects are tracked financially
- Coordinating & executing indirect purchasing as directed by Operations Management required to operate the two sites safely and efficiently
- Managing Univar’s maintenance database program (Maintain X) for both sites to ensure preventative maintenance being completed for reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Working within Univar Solutions systems such as Corcentric, SAP and Maintain X
- Other duties as required specific to needs at each individual site
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:
- Completion of two (2) years post-secondary education (technical or engineering background, preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and demonstrates initiative.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Must have the ability to read and understand technical materials.
- Forklift operation experience an asset.
