Bakery Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring food safety, and assisting with various duties in the bakery department. This is a great opportunity to work in the food industry and contribute to creating delicious baked goods.

**Duties**:

- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their bakery needs
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cookies
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area
- Stock bakery shelves and displays with fresh products
- Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, proofer, and slicers
- Assist customers with inquiries about products, pricing, and availability
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the bakery department

**Skills**:

- Strong customer service skills to provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as required in a kitchen setting and to put away stock

**Location**:
This position is located at our bakery in LaMantia's Country Market.

Experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who have a passion for working in a bakery environment.

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
