Responsibilities:

- Provide respite care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Assist with daily living activities, including self-care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific instructions from supervisors or healthcare professionals.
- Engage individuals in recreational and social activities to promote their well-being and independence.
- Ensure the safety and security of individuals at all times.
- Support Parents with maintaining positive interactions and routines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and any observations or incidents.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism.
- First aid certification is preferred.
- Valid criminal reference check; vulnerable screening check is required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to provide transportation for individuals as needed.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Understanding of person-centered care principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors or healthcare professionals.

Note: This position does not require nursing home experience or a nursing degree. It is a direct support role focused on providing respite care for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. This role could potentially lead to other clinical experience and training opportunities.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

- Espanola, ON: Relocate before starting work (required)
