The Provincial Priorities branch is centrally positioned to support the Service Delivery Division with the Ministry of Children and Family Development. This specialized team monitors workforce operations for the hiring of child protection workers and the provincial mobile response. This small team collaborates across the Ministry and with Government partners to ensure hiring and operations efficiency.

**The Role**
The Recruitment & Staffing Coordinator supports hiring and position management within the Service Delivery Division. You will monitor a central database to ensure position management accuracy, and promote best practice in Human Resource Information Systems by working with local directors and team leaders. This role also coordinates hiring, including sitting on panels, completing hiring documentation, and working with the BC Public Service Agency.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Secondary School graduation or equivalent.
- Three (3) or more years of experience providing customer/client service in an administrative role.
- Experience with human resource policies, practices and processes (i.e. Collective Agreement and Hiring Guidelines).

**Preference may be given to applicants with**:

- One (1) or more years of experience working with Human Resource Information System (PeopleSoft /CHIPS)
- One (1) or more years of experience in hiring staff; including administering the complete recruitment and selection cycle of a competition
- Experience working in a unionized environment

**About this Position**:
This is a temporary opportunity until August 3, 2026. This position may be extended or become permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Children & Family Development offices: Burnaby, Campbell River, Creston, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Hope, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Nelson, Port Moody, Prince George, Surrey, Vancouver, Vernon, Victoria, West Kelowna, Williams Lake.

A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
