**JOB(S) OVERVIEW**:As a Forklift Driver at Harbour City Kitchens Inc., your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move materials, components, and finished products within the production facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Operating Forklift: Safely operate a forklift to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
- Material Handling: Load and unload delivery trucks, transport materials and supplies from receiving areas to designated storage locations, and deliver materials to production lines as required.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by properly labeling and organizing materials in designated storage areas.
- Production Support: Collaborate with production team members to ensure timely delivery of materials and products to production lines, optimizing workflow efficiency.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for damages or defects, report any issues to supervisors, and handle materials with care to prevent damage during transportation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate safety equipment and operating the forklift in a safe manner. Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift, such as inspecting tires, fuel levels, and battery charge, and promptly report any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by arranging materials in designated storage areas and ensuring aisles and walkways are clear of obstacles.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as shipping and receiving documents, inventory logs, and safety checklists accurately and in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**
- Forklift Certification: Possess a valid forklift operator's license or certification.
- Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Safety Procedures: Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift heavy objects and operate the forklift safely.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately inspect materials and products for quality and identify potential issues or defects.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse and manage inventory effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report any issues or concerns.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.

- $19 - $23/hr depending on experience
