**Position purpose**:
Under the authority of the Assistant Director, Undergraduate studies, the incumbent is responsible to assist the Teaching Laboratory Coordinator of Exercise Physiology with all assigned undergraduate laboratories. This is a three (3) month-contract for the Winter 2023 semester.
- The schedule may vary with registration:
**Winter session**: 25 hours/week from mid January to Mid-April. Some hours will be worked during evenings.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:
Ensuring laboratories are conducted according to safety and health standards and modifies procedures as needed;
Maintaining the first aid kits for the exercise physiology laboratories and the undergraduate office;
Supervising and acts as a resource person for the teaching assistants during the operation of the laboratories;
Supervising the laboratory operations, teaches techniques as needed, and respond to students’ questions and problems;
Working closely with the Teaching Laboratory Coordinator to develop laboratory protocols, and to organize laboratories and laboratory teaching materials;
Working closely with the Teaching Laboratory Coordinator to prepare and correct laboratory exams;
In collaboration with the Teaching Laboratory Coordinator, conducting workshops during laboratory visits (i.e. University Day and visiting secondary school groups)

**What you will bring**:
Master’s degree in exercise physiology.

Knowledge and experience in protocols and procedures concerned with exercise physiology testing.

Must be a registered Certified Exercise Physiologist according to the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology’s (CSEP) criteria and must maintain this certification according to CSEP’s policies during the tenure of the position.

Vaccination for Hepatitis B surface antibody is mandatory.

Ability to communicate difficult concepts and procedures in a clear and concise manner.

Capacity to bridge theory and practice and facilitate the transfer of knowledge of undergraduate students and teaching assistants.

Good interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of French and English (written and spoken).
