Job Summary:
CSA Group has an opportunity for a Hazloc Certifier in our Toronto office. They will be responsible for the certification of hazardous location products located at client’s sites to ensure compliance to specific electrical safety standards. This will include travel, on-site evaluation/testing, and making compliance decisions for these products, which can range from small batches of control panels to large complex assemblies or manufactured skids.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assesses equipment for compliance with the construction requirements of the applicable standards and the CEC/NEC.- Conducts witness test programs and audits manufacturer’s accredited laboratory as needed.- Travel to client locations throughout Central and Eastern Canada and infrequent travel internationally to the US and Europe. Approximately 50% of working time spent travelling locally.- Follows the field or product certification process, complies with accreditation requirements and quality management procedures.- Work independently on multiple complex projects with shifting priorities- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with key clients.- Drafts certification reports and associated documents.- Prepares quotation input on scope, standards, time required to complete a project. Classifies product by use, environment, and function.- Maintains good housekeeping, taking care of safety and always using PPE

Preferred Education & Experience:
- Certified Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technologist, Licensed Trades (Electrician) with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.- 5 or more years of related experience with hands on experience in an industrial environment.- A valid driver’s license is required.- Knowledge of electrical test equipment.- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, schematics, and test data.- Strong written and verbal communication.- Good interpersonal skills and works well with members of a large team.- Self-motivated, client-service focused, and detail-oriented.-
- Strong skills in problem-solving, organization, time management, and project management.
