Warehouse Associate

SM Polymers Inc. continues to grow We are a plastic resin distributor located Fergus Ontario with sales across North America.

We are searching for hard working and dedicated employees to fill out our distribution warehouse (1) staff and our plastics recycling division (1).

**Warehouse Associate** - this is a full time position Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday hours.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Load, unload & move products and materials by using basic material handling equipment
- Perform other activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
- Operate Forklift in a safe manner, both loading and unloading freight.
- Keep all manufacturing and shipping/receiving areas organized.
- Must be able to lift 25-30kgs (55-66 lbs) and assist with repackaging of materials
- Practice safe work procedures and follow all health & safety regulations.
- May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, weighing and checking materials.
- Basic material testing (melt izod and density) experience will be given priority

**Recycling Operator ** - this is a full time position Monday to Friday. 8 hour days to start with the potential to transition to a second shift.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Load, unload & move products and materials by using basic material handling equipment
- Perform other activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
- Operate Forklift in a safe manner, both loading and unloading freight.
- Keep all manufacturing and shipping/receiving areas organized.
- Must be able to lift 25-30kgs (55-66 lbs) and assist with repackaging of materials
- Practice safe work procedures and follow all health & safety regulations.
- Safe and efficient operation of recycling equipment, including grinders, shredders, densifiers, band saws, cleaners, and an extruder.
- Experience with rotating equipment, machine maintenance, and extrusion operations is a definite asset.
- Basic material testing (melt izod and density) experience will be given priority

Wages: $20.00/hr to start -$22.00 per hour & Benefits after 3 months. Overtime after 44 hours.

**Need to Have Skills & Experience**:Safe Forklift Operation, Manufacturing, Warehouse or Production Experience, attention to detail, punctuality, and attendance.

**Good to Have Skills & Experience**:Rotational equipment operation, machine maintenance, extrusion operation, inventory control

**Bonus Skills & Experience**:Excel and Word proficiency, material testing,
