- **Defect Identification and Reporting**: Identify, document, and prioritize defects using appropriate tools and methodologies. Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting of defects.
- **Test Environment Setup**: Configure and maintain test environments, including mainframe systems and associated hardware and software components, to accurately simulate production conditions.
- **Test Automation**: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defects. Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress and outcomes.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, system administrators, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the testing lifecycle.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong understanding of mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex defects.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Relevant certifications in software testing, mainframe technologies, or quality assurance are a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
