Job Purpose

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Maintenance Stores and Logistics, this position is responsible to analyze the quantity of aircraft spares required for inventory and manage contracting component repairs and overhauls. The position is responsible to expedite repairs and orders to respond to maintenance team needs and to collaborate with reliability program personnel to establish optimum inventory levels.

Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily analysis of inventory and issue appropriate repair orders to meet company demand and ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Support the manager in sourcing, pricing, purchasing and long-term planning for rotable trading.
- Build relationships and communicate with vendors regarding capabilities, work-scopes, order updates, on-time delivery, cost estimates, quote approvals and participate in pricing negotiations.
- Ensure accuracy of certificates and work with vendors to correct documentation as required.
- Ensure charges for repairs are in accordance with repair estimates and agreements.
- Resolve issues related to vendor quality and performance including planning back-up solutions to ensure availability of material.
- Responsible for warranty administration and identification of potential claims and management of actual claims.
- Communicate with internal customers regarding order statuses, quotes, shipping lead times.
- Liaise with technical services personnel to provide information on recurring repair and technical issues.
- Maintain quarantined stores and evaluate components for repair, exchange or disposal.
- Monitor and process tool crib calibration data and shelf-life expiry reports.
- Report repair order backlog by vendor and prevent repair order aging.
- Participate in annual physical inventory counts.
- Ensure a clean and organized environment for stores and quarantine areas.
- Provide relief and/or back-up support to other Stores positions when required.

**Qualifications**:
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position include post-secondary education in supply chain management. A minimum of three year's experience in an aviation maintenance environment is preferred. The incumbent must be able to successfully complete WHMIS and dangerous goods awareness training. A valid class 5 driver's license is also required.

- High degree of accuracy in utilizing specialized electronic tracking program, e.g., RAAS.
- Ability to interpret requests from maintenance personnel with mínimal information provided.
- Strong analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong hands-on skills, self-motivated and demonstrated positive, can-do attitude.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to effectively supervise staff while managing own workload.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to support, strengthen and enhance safety initiatives.
