**SUMMARY**:
Responsible for taking on a greater leadership role in providing clinical support for our team of therapists and ensures compliance to CARF and FYIdb policies. Through this role Clinical Director will develop stronger relationships with our referring organizations by providing a higher quality and streamlined communication and reporting through servicing our referring caseworkers, clinicians, nurses etc. The Clinical Manager will report to the Clinical Director. Responds to client grievances and complaints by clients, and supports clinical team through supervision, training opportunities, and scheduling. This role also plans and improves productivity and efficiency within the residence. They are responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

**REPORTS TO**:
Executive Director

**CLINICAL DIRECTOR KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Develop, implement, and review appropriate policies and procedures.

2. Function as a clinical resource for staff, evaluate Clinical, Operations, Facility, and Program management work performance, and provide support to the residential clinical team.

3. Provide regular supervision to the clinical team.

4. Quality assurance of therapeutic services.

5. Liaise withm edical team to ensure quality of care for clients

6. Liaise with business development, marketing, admin, and clinical team.

7. Lead case conferences and overall planning around client care daily

8. Facilitate and provide time for staff education (managers/care teams).

9. Monitor clinical team for compliance with policies and procedures.

10. Respond to client grievances or complaints related to clinical services.

11. Motivate the clinical team to achieve program success and client satisfaction

12. Develop research and program evaluation surveys.

13. Complete clinical performance analysis annually.

14. Review clinical programming as needed.

15. Participate in weekly managerial meeting.

16. Conduct performance reviews of Clinical Manager, Improve processes and policies in support of the organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.

17. Liaison with Senior management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for clinical and Programing activity. Implement and manage plans.

18. Be an active member in the Quality Committee.

19. Update clinical policies as per yearly updated CARF policy requirements.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education & Preferred Experience**
- Master’s degree
- Knowledge and working experience in the addictions and mental health field
- 5 years’ managerial experience
- Current registration in a governing body with either a RP or RSW designation

- Good written and verbal communication skills, specifically in regard to reporting

- Effective interpersonal communication skills and work effectively with others
- Knowledge of theory, principles and practices in the field of addictions

**Preferred**:

- Health and Safety Training
- First Aid and CPR training
- Managerial training
- Suicide intervention training

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**:
This position is required to work in a stressful environment often dealing with clients in crisis situations. The ability to function independently and frequently under pressure while managing multiple concurrent duties, including managing emergency situations is an expectation of this job.
