Pallet Sorter

**Pallet Sorter - Full Time Weekend Shift**

This is a fast-paced position and requires assembly line experience and good eye/hand coordination. The goal is to operate the sorter machine, sort pallets for repair, and to ensure the machine continues to function to meet daily targets. Must have own transportation, no buses at shift start time.

**Wage**:
$19.00/hr.

**Shift Schedule**

Friday - Saturday - Sunday

6:00AM - 6:00PM

**Responsibilities**
- Feed pallets into sortation device; program to count pallets
- Operate electronic pallet sortation machinery, verify accuracy; observe during shift
- Control jams, and ensure pallets flow on conveyor belt
- Adjust controls to accurately count pallets to be sorted; monitor end result
- Follow safety by stop, reset and restart machine if malfunction occurs
- Monitor number of pallets fed and sorted for production targets
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure remains in working order
- Report serious malfunctions to Maintenance Supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Some technical training or experience with automation is required
- Experience in fast paced production or assembly is an asset
- Must be a quick learner and technically inclined
- Excellent hand-eye coordination needed to operate machinery
- Multi-tasking - speed is a factor in this job
- Must have own transportation, no buses for shift start time
