Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood samples for laboratory testing. This position is based in a clinic and requires knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently.

**Duties**:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens
- Verify patient information and ensure proper identification before drawing blood
- Label and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records of collected samples
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, NHA)
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

**Skills**:

- Patient care: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care to patients during the phlebotomy process.
- Medical terminology: Proficient knowledge of medical terms and abbreviations used in the field of phlebotomy.
- Phlebotomize: Skilled in performing venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques for blood collection.
- Laboratory: Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols related to specimen processing and handling.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
