Arborist - Groundman/ Junior Climber

**Description**:
We are looking for a hardworking individual who enjoys working outside and is interested in a career in Arboriculture. The work, which is physically demanding at times, will be primarily as a groundman on our tree service crews but will include opportunities to learn to climb. Duties will include operating a brush chipper, dragging brush, equipment maintenance etc. The typical day is 7-4 but the hours do vary.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Reliable, punctual and responsible, with strong work ethics
- Attentive to detail
- Someone who can meet the physical demands of working outdoors (able to lift 75+ pounds) in varying weather conditions.
- Driver’s license (G) with clean abstract.

**Assets**:

- Previous climbing experience
- DZ or AZ license
- 0-8 Ton Crane Certification
- Post secondary education in arboriculture
- ISA Certified Arborist Certification

**Job Type**: Full-time seasonal

**Location**: North Gower (Ottawa), ON

**Wage**: $20-25/h depending on experience level

**Start Date**: April 2023.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario drivers license (G or higher?) (required)
