We are in search of a motivated Automotive Service Advisor

Our Automotive Service Advisor greets customers, listen to their description of the problems or service needed, determine the type of service required and prepare work orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original work order, they estimate the additional cost and confirm with our customers. Once the work order has been completed you will be able to confidently explain the work performed and associated costs to customers. Our Automotive Service Advisor will also advise our customers on other available services.

Responsibilities of our Automotive Service Advisor
- Greet customers and offer excellent customer service from intake to release of their vehicles
- Determine and diagnose car issues based on customer description and vehicle condition
- Translate customer-reported problems to actionable work orders for technicians to complete
- Order necessary parts from suppliers and double-check that they are delivered to technicians
- Ensure that automotive work provided to customers meets company quality standards
- Invoice and collect payment from customers for services rendered
- Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding services
- Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases
- Make product/service suggestions and recommendations
- Perform general office duties
- Advise customers on proper car maintenance and how to take care of their vehicles.

Qualifications of our Automotive Service Advisor:

- Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs and parts
- Secondary education in the automotive field or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with industry-specific software (Lankar, ProDemand ect.)
- Ability to communicate complicated automotive processes to customers who may only have basic automotive knowledge
- Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
- Confers with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures and prepare work order for needed repairs.
- Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
- Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
- Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills in order to handle customers in a professional manner

- Knowledge of digital technology including the ability to use the internet and the appropriate software
- Ability to interpret technical terms to the customers

- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customer needs to workable technician order
- Organizational skills including the ability to schedule appointments, meet with customers and ensure that work is done properly
- Continuing education and knowledge acquisition on the function and repair of newer vehicles
- Basic mathematics skills to prepare and process bills and customer payment
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Keeps work area clean.
- Other tasks as assigned

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
