**Description du poste**:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the effective execution of the purchasing process of direct and indirect materials. The Procurement Specialist leads, or participates in various procurement and business activities including quoting, cost saving efforts, achieving optimal supplier quality, and system integrity. The Procurement Specialist works to provide an uninterrupted flow of required products while developing and maintaining solid vendor and supplier relationships.

**Description complémentaire**:

- Purchasing administration for all departments using multiple platforms (ERP Purchase Order, Internet Portals, Credit Cards, Direct to Invoice)
- Negotiate for and procure a variety of assigned commodities including those which are of a technical nature.
- Generate Purchase orders for expenditure requests and support other non-production purchasing requirements.
- Generate Purchase Orders from MRP system recommendations.

Establish and maintain business relationships with existing suppliers.
- Liaise with internal project teams and support new supplier introductions.
- Ensure the best possible value for money and adherence to price and cost targets.
- Track the status of orders by communicating and expediting as needed to ensure on time delivery.
- Maintain data integrity of the ERP system within area of responsibility, including purchasing Master Data.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction wherever feasible and as good practice.
- Work cross functionally with program management, engineering, industrialization and any other internal customers to complete tasks and ensure end customer satisfaction.
- Support management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Exigences du poste**:

- Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience within an office environment.
- Minimum 3 years of ERP system experience within a manufacturing environment.
- A relevant University Degree or College Diploma (e.g. Business Administration), or equivalent experience.
- A Sourcing and Procurement, or Supply Chain Management certification is preferred.
- Proficient user of computers and computer software (ERP/MRP II, MS Office Suite) including strong skills in Excel.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, bill of materials and specifications preferred, but must be able to learn if no previous experience/knowledge
- Experiencein leading or participating in Supplier Audits an asset.
- Pro-active, self-driven and capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Possess excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization, and to both internal customers and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and improve processes.

Strong organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent negotiation skills.
