Occupational Therapy Assistant

**Position Requirements**:

- Reliable Vehicle and Driver's License (willing to travel across the GTA and further if needed)
- Minimum 1 year of Motor Vehicle Accident Industry experience preferred but not a requirement
- Strong working knowledge of the SABS
- Collaborate with clients and other healthcare professionals, including providing observations and clinical notes as well as relevant feedback as required
- Support clients with their rehabilitation programs, as directed by our team of regulated health care professionals to help them reach their rehabilitation goals and ensure treatment is followed as identified by the provider
- Document observations related to physical, behavioral, and cognitive limitations and provide information to regulated health care professional to identify areas for improvement as required

**Education and Certifications**:

- Diploma from a recognized college for completion of the Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant program or Diploma from a recognized Occupational Therapist Assistant or a Physiotherapist Assistant program
- Professional Liability Coverage
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory police background and vulnerable sector check as required

Knowledge and Skills:

- Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English, time management and documentation skills
- Clinical notes and professional communication between all relevant stakeholders including lawyers, clients, care team members, patients, regulated health care professionals, etc.
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proven consistency in work performance and teamwork, including reliability and flexibility
- Strong professional knowledge as it relates to the SABS
- Ability to understand internal and external resources available to patients and coordinate/educate patients on how to gain access to resources

This is an Independent Contractor position.
