**Title**: Plant Metallurgist

**Position Summary**: The Plant Metallurgist is responsible for monitoring the rare earth metals extractive process. Main duties will include reporting mill production, maintaining accurate testing records, driving value added change initiatives in the operation, and supervising metallurgical technicians.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor operation of the rare earth extraction process.
- Resolve key issues impacting mill and operational performance.
- Monitor processes involving the beneficiation, leaching and purification of rare earth metal production.
- Write documents, manuals, metallurgical investigations, and reports.
- Install and commission processing equipment.
- Research and develop milling processes for optimization, as applicable to rare earth extraction technology.
- Resolve any arising technical issues with customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop relationships with key technical personnel as appropriate.
- Provide metallurgical support to the Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S departments.
- Advise Operations staff on metal recovery and waste disposal through the milling process.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Strong working knowledge of the principles and methods used in metallurgical and processing systems.
- Experienced with analytical /statistical tools.
- Previous industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience with process data systems.
- Ability to design experiments, analyze results, and implement practical solutions from experimental findings.
- Practical capability to facilitate problem solving and root cause analysis.
